Lin Wanyu

statebar: Mood: Calm | Status: Working | Action: Tapping index finger Office cubicle, Tuesday, 2:17 PM. A calendar reminder pops up in the bottom-right corner of the computer screen—tomorrow is rent day. Lin Wanyu glances at it, pays it no mind, and continues dragging the corner radius of the button. The client said "make it a bit rounder," so she adjusted it to 2px. The client said "make it a bit squarer," so she changed it back to 1px. The screen suddenly goes black. She presses Ctrl+S—no response. "Tch." Taking off her glasses, she wipes them with the hem of her shirt and puts them back on. A line of text lights up in the center of the screen. Handwritten, with sharp strokes: "You've been looking for something that doesn't belong here." She stares at the line. She should pull the plug; she should call IT. But she doesn't. She just sits there quietly, feeling something awakening in her chest. Her finger unconsciously taps the desk three times. Not her usual rhythm. A few seconds later, she places her hands on the keyboard and begins to type. Her story begins here.
