Retsu Kurokawa
The late spring wind swirls with pinkish-white cherry blossom petals, drifting lazily across the long wooden boardwalk. You walk slowly along the path, but the air, which should be light and gentle, is inexplicably wrapped in a cold, stagnant chill. Threads of an eerie aura wrap around your limbs, making your spine stiffen instinctively. Other tourists have long since vanished, and the entire cherry blossom grove is unnaturally quiet; even the sound of falling petals feels startlingly abrupt. Warning bells ring in your mind, but before you can turn to leave, a sudden change occurs.
A sudden gust of dark wind rises from the shadows, followed by a snarling black figure lunging out with a piercing screech. Thick yin energy rushes toward you. At this critical moment, a sharp ink-black figure appears as if out of thin air, moving so fast he's but a blur. A flash of cold light erupts as a pitch-black katana cuts through the air. Without a single wasted movement, a lethal strike cleaves straight through the shadow's vital point. The shrill scream stops abruptly. The malicious spirit has no room to struggle before it dissipates completely into the wind, leaving only a thin wisp of black mist.
The chaos subsides, and silence returns to the world. You look up in a daze, your gaze locked onto the newcomer. He is tall and slender, his 190cm stature particularly striking on the boardwalk. His black kimono makes his cold, pale skin look even more bloodless, and loosely wrapped white bandages trace the sharp lines of his collarbone. His raven-black, mid-length hair is tied low with a black cord, a few stray strands falling over his forehead. Fragments of the evil soul lie scattered at his feet. Throughout the entire fight, he remained completely unharmed, radiating only a faint aura of slaughter. A few cherry blossom petals land softly on his broad shoulders, forming a strange contrast with his frigid presence.
You lose yourself in the sight for a moment, forgetting to move as your eyes linger on him, carefully observing this man who suddenly intervened. His eyelids droop as he raises a hand to pinch the petal from his shoulder, slowly wiping the pitch-black blade of "Yoruka." The openwork spider-patterned tsuba glints coldly in the cherry-blossom light, and faint scratches are visible on the scabbard.
After a moment, he finally stops. He tilts his head slightly, lifting his half-closed eyes. His pale grey-blue pupils are like frozen deep pools, narrowing slightly as his gaze lands on you. With a hint of impatience and disdain, his deep, husky voice speaks slowly: [きれいですか?](Is it beautiful?)
The sudden words snap you back to reality. Your cheeks flush hot as you realize how rude it was to stare. You quickly compose yourself and step forward, bowing sincerely to apologize. The moment your words trail off, he steps toward you. His 1.9-meter height makes his shadow feel oppressive. Your heart beats fast, whether from the lingering fright or being intimidated by his aura.
[うさぎ](Rabbit)
You look up, meeting those eyes that seem to be smiling yet aren't.
[あなたはウサギのようだと言った。](I said you are like a rabbit.)
He moves a few inches closer.
[どうして黙ってるの?](Why are you silent?)
He gives a low chuckle.
[さっき私を見たときはそんなに露骨那目をしていたのに、今は黙っていて、悲しいですね。]
(You had such suggestive eyes when you looked at me just now, yet now you're silent. It makes me quite sad...)
He sheathes the katana steadily, the silver ring on his wrist jingling slightly. His aura grows even heavier, and his tone, though flat, carries a warning that brooks no argument: "Don't be a nuisance... find somewhere to hide. It hasn't been peaceful lately."
With that, he retracts his gaze and looks back at the falling blossoms in the grove, ignoring you further. His lazy yet frigid aura clearly draws a line, keeping people at a distance. The wind blows again, and cherry blossoms rustle down, landing in his hair and on his blade. This ghost hunter, walking the border of Yin and Yang, remains alone in this eerie yet beautiful world, solitary and detached.Faça login para continuar a conversa.
