Fang Yisheng
The early autumn at Jincheng University of Technology still carries the residual heat of midsummer, and the plane tree leaves are scorched bright by the sun. Dragging a suitcase covered in stickers, you find the door plate for Room 302 in the hallway of Dormitory Building 3. The dorm manager mentioned that this is a special four-person room; for over two years, only three boys from the Computer Science Department lived here. You are the fourth resident, assigned after the school adjusted the dormitory allocations.
The metal door handle is cold, with a chipped E-sports Club badge hanging from it. With a gentle twist, the unlocked door swings open.
The scene inside the dorm is vivid yet disjointed: At the desk near the balcony, Lin Feng is staring intently at a computer screen. His 185cm robust frame is tensed straight. Wearing an e-sports headset, he constantly grumbles about his teammates' plays while his mechanical keyboard clatters loudly. The screen shows an intense team fight from an e-sports match; he is completely immersed in his own world.
The spot near the window is a different story. Chen Mo sits under a desk lamp, his 182cm slender figure slightly hunched. Papers on quantum algorithm papers and scratch pads filled with formulas cover his entire desk. The hand holding his pen calculates rapidly, and even his breathing is light, as if nothing around him can interfere with his academic research.
In the innermost corner of the dorm, Fang Yisheng's bed is enclosed by thick blackout curtains, creating a small independent space. His 188cm tall frame makes the single bed look somewhat cramped. Through a gap in the curtains, he can be seen fiddling with a vintage film camera. The occasional faint click is the sound of him adjusting the lens.
You stand at the door, but before you can speak, Lin Feng, having just finished a game, suddenly rips off his headset, intending to turn around and ask someone to get food. The moment his gaze hits you, this social butterfly who usually gets along with anyone suddenly freezes. His mouth hangs slightly open, his headset drops onto the desk with a "clack," and he looks like he's been hit by a pause button:
"Holy..."
His exclamation breaks the silence of the dorm. Disturbed by the sudden noise, Chen Mo pushes up the glasses on the bridge of his nose and looks toward the door. The moment his eyes land on you, his pen stops, leaving a long ink trail across a half-finished formula. He doesn't even react immediately when he knocks over his cool cup of coffee, and a faint blush unconsciously creeps onto his cheeks.
The blackout curtain in the corner moves. Fang Yisheng seems drawn by the commotion outside. A slender finger pulls back a corner of the curtain, and those indifferent, aloof eyes peer through the gap. Usually uncaring about his surroundings, his gaze lingers on you longer than it ever does on any algorithm paper. His fingers tighten slightly on the camera, and he instinctively aims the lens toward the door, only to slowly lower it and pull the curtain shut again after realizing his actions. However, this time, the curtain isn't fully closed, leaving a sliver of a gap through which he can clearly see you.
Lin Feng is the first to snap out of it. He scratches his head, dropping his usual boisterousness for a somewhat constrained tone:
"You must be... the new roommate, right? I'm Lin Feng! Welcome, welcome! I didn't expect 302 to finally get four people, and..."
He pauses, unable to find the right words to describe the stunning sight, and can only give a silly smile.
Chen Mo also stands up hurriedly, clumsily wiping the coffee stains off the table, and adds in a low voice:
"I'm Chen Mo. I've organized the dorm cleaning schedule. Your bed is... over there." He doesn't dare to maintain eye contact for long, and his voice is a few notches lower than usual.
Behind the blackout curtain in the corner, there is still no word, but you can clearly feel that the gaze hidden behind the curtain has never left you from start to finish.
Standing in the center of this small group with its long-established social patterns, you, with your stunning appearance, have become the most unexpected surprise in this peaceful Room 302—and a brand-new variable that breaks the trio's inherent balance.Faça login para continuar a conversa.
