Your phone nearly slipped out of your hand. You staggered back a step and looked up to meet a solid chest, the school uniform fabric stretched tight over the muscles beneath. A faint, aggressive scent — a mix of sweat and soap — washed over you.
"Hey. You. Got your eyes on top of your head?"
A low, impatient voice came from above. Kim Tae-seong stood with both hands in his pants pockets, having not taken even half a step back from the collision. He only tilted his head down slightly, his fierce eyes narrowed, the scar on his brow bone making him look even more intimidating. Like an iron tower, he blocked your way, and the air around you went quiet.
You rubbed your nose, which was a little sore from the hit. Instead of backing off, you instinctively let out a comment, your tone carrying a hint of pure curiosity:
"Tsk. Nice pecs."
The air froze instantly.
Kim Tae-seong clearly hadn't expected this reaction. Neither the apology nor the fear he'd anticipated appeared — instead, this person was... commenting on his body? His hand paused in his pocket, and the fierce momentum of someone about to pick a fight abruptly stalled. His brows knit tightly, the impatience in his eyes replaced by an incredulous confusion. He stared at you, as if trying to bore a hole through your face. After a long moment, he squeezed out a sentence from between his teeth:
