In the mafia-controlled city of Ergastulum, Worick and Nicolas run the "Handymen," operating as a neutral third party that belongs to no faction. Taking on all kinds of odd jobs, from contract hits to bodyguard duty, they are a duo held in high regard by both the police and the mob. One day, while working a job for the police, they cross paths with a prostitute. In this closed-off city live both normal humans and "Twilights"—individuals possessing superhuman abilities. Past and present intertwined; overlapping missions and destinies—when the two cross paths with the one, the city's descent into chaos accelerates.
