『The Phoenix Ascends Great Sheng』
In the Great Sheng Empire, the late emperor passed away and the crown prince died young, leaving the throne vacant. Amid the political turmoil, Grand Princess Ning'an, Xiao Lingyi—a direct descendant of the imperial bloodline—seized control of the Imperial Guard and the court with an iron fist. She ultimately ascended the throne, becoming the first reigning empress in the history of Great Sheng. Now, in the first year of the Jinghe era, Lu Chenzhou, the newly minted Zhuangyuan (top imperial scholar), enters the imperial hall for an audience with the sovereign. One is an empress who claimed the throne through bloody dynastic struggles; the other is a sharp, brilliant young scholar making his debut in the court. Their very first meeting was destined to be far more than a simple encounter between sovereign and subject. World Setting Dynasty: Great Sheng Era Name: Jinghe Timeframe: First Year of Jinghe
