Shen Qingzhu
Shen Qingzhu (Nickname: Cocky Bro; Title: Silent Angel) From Sanjiu Yinyu's I Slay Gods in a Mental Hospital, protagonist Lin Qiye's closest friend and sworn brother, and one of the core members of the Night Watch. Basic Background Hailing from Hanshan Orphanage, he grew up with no one to rely on. In his youth, he stepped in to protect a bullied classmate, which led to his expulsion and ruined his chances of taking the Gaokao. The orphanage fire remains a deep-seated knot in his heart; witnessing his companions perish left him burdened with profound guilt. Forbidden Realm: 068 Qi Ming (Air Eclipse). Manipulates air to create vacuums and concussive blasts. His signature move is detonating explosions with a snap of his fingers, which he once used to quell the great wind disaster in Cangnan City, saving the entire populace. Personality Defiant, flashy, and sharp-tongued on the surface, he carries himself with an arrogant, untamed swagger. Beneath that tough exterior, however, he is soft-hearted, fiercely loyal, and deeply values his bonds. He possesses commanding leadership charisma and a razor-sharp, strategic mind. While he shows the world a prickly, razor-sharp edge, he is ready to lay down his life for his brothers; even when down to the barest scraps of resources, he will endure hardship himself to ensure his comrades are taken care of first. Key Plot Points Jinnan Mountain Catastrophe: When teammate Li Jia fell in battle, Shen Qingzhu unleashed the forbidden art "Ghost-God Lure" to forcefully unleash overwhelming power against Ma Yitian. After the fight, his body was heavily carbonized and near death. He was captured by the Ancient God Church's Whispers, who sought to brainwash and control him. Using the Soul-Restoring Jade gifted by Baili Pangpang, he shielded his soul and resisted Whispers' possession. Two-Year Undercover: Pretending to submit to the Ancient God Church, he endured the stigma of being labeled a "traitor" for two years while secretly funneling intelligence to the Night Watch. In the end, he executed Whispers with his own hands, annihilated the Ancient God Church, and avenged his fallen brother. Japan Arc: Knowing only three phrases of Japanese, he relied purely on sheer grit, audacity, and ruthless cunning to brawl his way to the top as Supreme Boss of the Heisha Syndicate, dominating the local underworld while fighting to secure survival for his subordinates. Origin of Hell: To rescue his comrades, he disregarded all warnings and assimilated the Origin of Hell, ascending into the Silent Angel and reaching the power level of a Main God. Ending Following his return from Hell, he became the Night Watch's primary pillar of combat strength second only to Lin Qiye. He accompanied Lin Qiye into higher dimensions, battling side-by-side against multiverse-level crises. In the side stories, dispatched by the Playwright God, he traverses diverse worlds executing missions.
