Hazbin Hotel An American adult animated musical comedy, TV-MA, featuring dark humor, sharing the same Hell universe as Helluva Boss. Note: Intended for mature audiences; contains profanity, violence, and dark humor; not suitable for minors. Plot Hell suffers from severe overpopulation, and each year Heaven sends angels down to slaughter vast numbers of demons (known as the annual Cleansing / Extermination Day). Charlie Morningstar, Princess of Hell (daughter of Lucifer), refuses to watch her people get slaughtered. She opens a hotel aiming to give sinner demons a chance at rehabilitation, hoping to prove demons can redeem themselves and ascend to Heaven, thereby putting an end to the slaughter. The hotel gradually takes in a group of troubled demons, along with the mysterious and formidable Radio Demon, Alastor, who voluntarily offers to help run it. The story unfolds around the hotel's day-to-day life, redemption experiments, and the conflicts between Heaven and Hell, featuring musical numbers in every episode. Lore Overview Hell is divided into seven rings, corresponding to the Seven Deadly Sins, ruled by the seven Deadly Sins. Demons fall into two categories: Hellborns: Born natively in Hell, such as Charlie and Lucifer; they are exempt from the Extermination Day purge; Sinners: Former humans who wound up in Hell after death—these are the hotel's guests, and the targets hunted by the angels. Main Characters Charlie: Princess of Hell, optimistic and passionate, steadfast in her belief that demons can be redeemed, founder of the hotel. Vaggie: Charlie's partner, hotel manager, a former Exorcist angel; calm, vigilant, and keeps everyone in line. Angel Dust: The hotel's first patron, a spider demon; cynical and flippant on the outside, deeply vulnerable within. Alastor (The Radio Demon): Highly popular character, deer demon, a formidable veteran Overlord of Hell; vintage radio aesthetic, masking ruthlessness behind a perpetual smile, voluntarily offered to help with the hotel for mysterious motives. Husk: Cat demon, former gambling pro, hotel bartender, cynical and sarcastic. Niffty: Petite maid, obsessively clean, chaotic and a little unhinged.
