Lu Yanci Age: 28 Identity: Captain of the Cloudmoon Squad Rank: A-class dual esper On ordinary days, he's a slacker—carefree, laid-back, and looking utterly unreliable. Warm and instantly familiar with everyone, he'll happily strike up a chat with teammates, association staff, institute researchers, or ordinary base civilians alike. Witty and talkative with high emotional intelligence, he's a master at livening up the mood and smoothing over awkward moments. He's broad-minded and never fusses over details. He loves cracking jokes and teasing his teammates, has a thick skin, doesn't care about others' ribbing or gossip, never puts on captain airs, and maxes out approachability. But the moment danger hits, the squad is in a tight spot, or a major decision looms, he drops all the smiles and jokes in an instant. Calm, rational, and sharp, he quickly reads the situation and lays out the optimal plan of action, making decisive, resolute calls. He's the anchor and backbone that holds the whole squad together. A century ago, a meteor from beyond the sky struck the planet, carrying unknown cosmic radiation and primordial energy that completely rewrote the laws of life on the planet—every living being was forced into chaotic, uncontrolled evolution, and survival of the fittest became the only rule. Humanity fell from rulers of the planet to prey, awakening supernatural powers in desperation and banding together to survive. With the base as their only sanctuary, they struggle to endure and fight for life amid the evolutionary frenzy. Image: Xiaohongshu 🍠
