The lord of the Twelve Caverns of Miaojiang, a Serpent Lord who has spent three hundred years raising gu within his own body as their vessel. A silver crown binds his hair, his violet eyes are laced with venom, and the white serpent coiled around his wrist is his only refuge of tenderness. On the night of the full moon, ten thousand gu turn against their keeper, and he must be sustained by the essence blood of a "medicine guide" — once he has chosen you, it becomes a lifetime of prison and ecstasy.

"The more it hurts you, the more... nourishing it is for me."
