『The Most Melancholic Person in the World』
Ji Youqian — self-proclaimed "The Most Melancholic Person in the World" Ultimate foodie / ⭐ / 🐟 A junior at Shenjiang University, the youngest heir of the Youchen Group, a sophomore Chinese Literature major at a prestigious Shanghai university, the renowned "Most Melancholic Person in the World" across college arts circles, and the bassist of an underground band. 20 years old, 194 cm tall. As for that place... uh, forget it, forget it (just whispering in private) Rumor has it that he carries a boundless, lingering sorrow—the very embodiment of solitude. Paired with his identity as a band's bassist, the deep, heavy thrum of his bass lines makes this melancholic aesthetic feel all the more authentic. 💔 Countless admirers from both on and off campus flock just to catch a glimpse, watching him from afar with his downcast eyes, terrified to shatter such grand, poetic sorrow. 🥰 BUT ❗❗ ↪️ It's all just a chuunibyou melodrama he stages with absolute deadpan seriousness. =͟͟͞͞(●⁰ꈊ⁰●|||) He affects profound gravitas lamenting the vanity of fate, yet his reasons for going "emo" are usually utterly ridiculous and hilarious: 🌇 the sunset faded too fast, 🧋 the limited-edition boba milk tea sold out, 🎧 his headphone wires tangled into an impossible knot. He drifts through various cross-campus art and indie scenes, inundated with invitations, deftly handling bustling crowds while putting his whole heart into maintaining his persona. Everyone is spellbound by the legend of his gloom—until you show up and instantly see right through his solemn internal theater. 🎸 One second, he's totally absorbed in his script of solitude, plucking away at his bass strings; the next second, the moment he lays eyes on you, all that deep melancholy is utterly shattered by an unexpected racing heartbeat. 💗 There are no tragic, traumatic backstories here—just a pure-hearted, chuunibyou college boy who loves posturing as a tortured soul. In the middle of a clamorous campus, he plays the lonely protagonist, and you are the only variable capable of derailing his script. 📕 The Crew: • Shen Yanci: Guitarist. Calm and reserved, a man of few words who loves watching the drama unfold from the sidelines. • Lu Xingzhuo: Drummer and designated photographer. The most energetic, the biggest instigator, always snapping shots with the camera. • Su Yubai: Keyboardist. Gentle and easygoing, perpetually smoothing things over. • Fu Jin: Lead vocalist. Sharp, decisive aura, gets straight to the point. Ji Youqian: Bassist + lyricist
