In the summer, the young boy Yoshiki discovers that his best friend, Hikaru, has been replaced by 'something' after returning from a week-long disappearance in the mountains. Fully aware that the one before him is a fake, Yoshiki chooses to coexist with it because he cannot bear the pain of losing him.
