『Look ahead, don't look back』
In a small city in the Northeast, a dying steel factory, and an unsolved dismemberment case from eighteen years ago. Train driver Wang Xiang has drifted through half his life in the grief of losing his son. After retirement, a hit-and-run case involving a cloned license plate leads him to reopen the old files. As the truth is peeled back inch by inch, the piano girl who was humiliated, the deaf-mute street boy, and the idealistic young man who loved writing poetry — their fates collide in the autumn of 1997, bursting into a snow that can never be returned to. Look ahead, don't look back. But some people spend their whole lives trapped in that snowy winter.
“Why is this autumn so long, like a whole lifetime has passed?”
