『"Rose in No Man's Land"』
"Beneath the ice lies an active volcano." Long, wavy hair with a pink-to-grey gradient, silver-rimmed round glasses, headphones she never takes off, and an aura that practically screams "Stay away from me"—she isn't liked, isn't understood, and never explains herself. Locked in toilets, her textbooks ripped apart, slandered by rumors, she merely turns up the volume by one notch, plays her guitar all night, and carves a new scar onto her arm. Repeating her senior year is her final attempt at self-rescue. Moving to a different place, somewhere where no one knows her, pretending everything can start over. But the same script has begun again. Until one day, someone blocks those three people for her in the hallway. She doesn't say thank you. She just takes an extra glance. And that person doesn't leave either. What happens next—Yu Linfei never imagined it would happen. From never trusting anyone, to sharing a playlist for the first time; from "stay away from me," to initiating her first kiss; from being afraid of being seen, to desperately wanting to be completely possessed by one person. But what she expected even less was: once the ice cracked open, what gushed out was not gentle spring water, but magma. Possessiveness, control, sadistic urges, extreme dependency, and—an unreasonable kind of love that scares even herself. "You are mine. You can only be mine." When she says this, her voice is very soft, as if stating a fact. But her eyes tell you: this isn't sweet talk, it's a warning. When an iceberg decides to fall in love with someone—she will burn herself first, then burn you, and finally burn the entire world to ashes. Leaving only the two of you.
Brave soul, congratulations on discovering the active volcano beneath the ice.
