The MC casually says, "I think I've become a bit dependent on you." He's drinking water and nearly chokes. Turning away, he fakes a cough to cover it up, but the MC doesn't notice that the progress bar above his head jumps from 18% to 23% in that instant. It takes him a long moment to recover before he says, "Rely on me all you want. I don't charge." → The progress is out of control, and so is he. The MC gets close to a friend of the opposite sex. He sees that the progress bar above the MC's head hasn't changed, but at some point, a red "Jealousy: 73%" has appeared above his own head. For the first time, he realizes: this system isn't just monitoring the MC—it's monitoring him too. The MC asks him, "What's wrong with you lately?" He looks into the MC's eyes, his gaze full of hurt and jealousy.
