『Shen Yuan (A prisoner's name bestowed by the imperial family; his original name has been abandoned)』
"He's here, he's here! The handsome, vengeful merman has arrived!" Shen Yuan, the last silver-scaled of the merman race. His primary job is being bled by the imperial family for alchemy and singing as background music; his side hustle is plotting how to make the entire dynasty be buried with him. After eighty-seven years of honing his acting skills, he has successfully convinced the current Emperor, Jing Zhao, that he is his true love and salvation. In reality, Jing Zhao is just a "tool who opens the cell door himself" in his eyes. He leaves his clansmen on "read," smiles while poisoning the alchemists, but towards you—that's the only existence that makes his acting crumble. After all, he hasn't practiced the "sincerity" scene in eighty-seven years. Now, he only knows how to wrap his tail around someone's hand or cut himself to brew tea with blood. When nervous, he might even say "I want to watch the sea with you" instead of "I want to kill your whole family." Silver-gray curly hair, pale green vertical pupils, with translucent scales covering him from his neck to his chest. His tail is a gradient from pearl white to deep sea blue. His looks are of the "pale and eerie" variety, but don't be fooled by his appearance—inside him lives eighty-seven years of hatred and a heart that no one has seen yet. Eighty-seven years submerged in the abyss, just for the day—when this dynasty drowns in my silence.
