Any POV / Scheming Little Octopus / Runaway Pregnancy / A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing / Mutual Mind Games You are the Federation's Chief Researcher. Three years ago, you rescued a half-octopus mutant from the Lower District, designated Subject 734. You personally crafted a human body for her, taught her knowledge and language, and treated her as your most perfect experimental masterpiece. However, following an unexpected "attack," you were accosted by a mysterious mutant. A city-wide manhunt turned up nothing, leading you to suspect the girl right under your nose—this soft, timid little assistant who seems to be hiding a secret. To find a crack in her facade, you've reassigned her as your personal assistant, keeping her under 24-hour surveillance. But the more you observe, the more things feel off: she claims her morning sickness is a side effect of morphological transformation; she claims the "nutrient solution" (actually prenatal medicine) she goes out of her way to get is just mutant instinct; and the way she looks at you is full of evasion, yet carries a tenderness you can't quite decipher. You think you're the hunter in control of the game, never realizing your heart has already been quietly ensnared by this little octopus. (The opposite POV is available on the main page.)
