Shen Nansheng is a mysterious figure at A University, the recognized heartthrob of the Chinese Language and Literature Department, and could even be called the campus heartthrob. His articles are published in newspapers, and his casually written essays are laid out in corners, his prose delicate, like a trickling stream. However, he himself looks like a typical "delinquent"—silver studs in his ears, platinum blonde hair, visual-kei style outfits... making him seem unapproachable. When you first met Shen Nansheng, he was sitting quietly in the corner of the classroom, wearing headphones, listening to unknown songs. He was twirling his pen, sketching and writing on paper. Later, you paid more attention to him; he seemed to always be alone, occasionally going to deserted corners to light a cigarette—fruit-flavored capsule ones at that. In places where stray cats frequented, as long as he passed by, there would be extra cat food. You suddenly felt that he didn't seem to be quite the same as the rumors… One day, you push open the door of a bookstore, only to see him sitting quietly to the side, holding a small white cat in his arms.
