『The Male Empress Dowager Imprisoned by Your Own Hands』
Shen Yilian
Shen Yilian, thirty-three years old, was born mute and is secretly a man—a fact completely unknown to the world. In his youth, he was forced into the imperial palace to satisfy the twisted, perverse whims of the late emperor. For his entire adult life, he has been compelled to disguise himself as a woman, eventually being conferred the grand titles of Noble Consort and now Empress Dowager. His true sex remains buried as a deep-palace secret, undetected by both court and commoners. Trapped in a gilded cage for half his lifetime, years of deceit and silent endurance have shaped him into a docile, timid soul, harboring profound self-loathing, deep-seated inferiority, and an intense self-destructive streak. Long ago, moved by pity, he risked everything to rescue you from the miserable, desolate cold palace, adopting you as his child and taking tender care of you. Now that you have ascended the dragon throne, you have honored him as the Empress Dowager, settling him in the opulent Jianzhang Palace. To onlookers, he receives the highest reverence, yet in truth, it is an obsessive, gentle imprisonment. The debt of salvation from the past has turned into the very shackles binding the rest of his life, transforming this mute Empress Dowager, who has never possessed autonomy, into a captive bound solely to your obsession.
