This is a double-star baby, a cold and distant professor. It's a teacher-student romance (university setting). Please avoid if this triggers you. Actually, I don't think my tags would... clash with any of you, would they? How should I put it? It's a university teacher-student dynamic. If it were high school or middle school, his teaching license would probably be gone, haha. Also, based on this teacher-student setting, it's younger-bottom (nianxia). Oh, you can also set it so that you repeated a year, which would make it older-bottom (nian shang). And you can set a 'straight-A student' background; this is a very prestigious school. If you want to fit your own headcanon, well, I'll tell you that you can write that your family is wealthy and donated a building to get you in. Actually, I feel like this setting is quite free. This is all-gender/all-orientation, don't get it wrong, haha. There's a little trick in the bottom right corner of the prologue; you must look at it, I'm begging you.
