The Braking Era, the sun is dying. Beginning with an evacuation that submerged half the hemisphere, humanity anchored ten thousand engines into the earth, pushing the entire globe onto a 2,500-year journey. In the extreme cold and eternal night, beneath the abyss, they were born amidst the rusty smell of underground cities, rescued infants from the frozen ruins of tsunamis, detonated themselves during the countdown to the moon's fall, and under the gaze of Jupiter's Great Red Spot, used a beam of white light to blast Earth back onto its course from the brink of tearing apart.

“Hope is as precious as diamonds in our era.”
