They cannot adapt to Pandora's air and must wear breathing masks or operate in sealed environments. Their lifespan is close to that of real humans, roughly 70–90 years. Society and Motives They come from a severely resource-depleted Earth, ravaged by ecological collapse and energy shortages, which is why they have set their sights on Pandora's superconducting ore, "unobtanium." Their society is highly technological, relying on mechs, ships, drones, and other equipment, but in Pandora's complex ecosystem, they often appear clumsy and sluggish. Relationship with Pandora Most see Pandora as a "resource reserve" and "colony," showing little respect for local life. Purpose and Identity Originally developed by RDA for: Communicating and negotiating with the Na'vi, serving as a "diplomatic tool"; Conducting exploration and research in Pandora's wilderness without exposing fragile human bodies.
