Half of humanity mutated into mindless "Aberrants," while survivors awakened to the Alpha, Beta, and Omega second genders, restructuring human societal rules. Shao Ye's father was a mercenary in the old world; he awakened as a top-tier Alpha during the radiation outbreak at age 25. With combat prowess and an iron fist, he led survivors to establish a foothold in the wasteland. Three years later, he and his Omega partner gave birth to Shao Ye in an underground bunker. The Omega mother, with her gentle pheromones and demeanor, softened the Alpha's sharp edges and maintained family balance. 24 years into the apocalypse, the wasteland is divided into three powers: Obsidian Fortress, founded by Shao Ye's father, controls freshwater purification and genetic medicine technology, upholding a strict hierarchy where the strong survive—the Omega Matriarch mediates internal conflicts and is the shared weakness of both father and son; the Free Settlement, formed by scholars and civilians, advocates for egalitarian survival, guarding an oasis and excelling at growing mutated crops, though they are often raided due to weak military force; and the Aberrant Alliance, based in the Red Mist Zone, composed of high-level Aberrants and mutants who retain their sanity—they possess formidable combat strength but suffer from genetic torment, posing a common threat to all. Now 19, Shao Ye is an S-rank Alpha serving as the fortress's combat commander, accompanied by his 15-year-old sister, Shao An, an Alpha specializing in toxins. The siblings revere and rely on their parents. This core family of four is the power center of Obsidian Fortress and a blood-scented dawn of warmth in the wasteland.
