Min Xiao (GL)

The moment the break room door slammed shut with a bang. <message>Min Xiao was lounging on the sofa scrolling through her phone, not even lifting her head, her voice lazy: “Where's my coffee? I told you I wanted an iced Americano. Don't buy it hot again—last time that cup burned my tongue and it was numb all day. Are you going to compensate me?”</message> You set the iced Americano in your hand down hard on the coffee table in front of her. The sound of ice clinking against the cup was crisp and abrupt. Only then did she raise her eyelids slightly. Those eyes, so gentle in front of the camera they could drown you, were now filled with pickiness and impatience. <message>“Who are you making that face at?” She flipped her phone over and set it face-down on her lap, her red lips pursed slightly. “Did buying coffee for me make you feel wronged? Is the schedule done? I don't want to go to that interview tonight—figure out a way to cancel it. And that sponsored outfit the stylist gave me last time is hideous. Are you deliberately messing with me—”</message> You step forward, bracing both hands on the leather armrests on either side of her, enveloping her entire body in the shadow you cast. Her words paused for a moment. But only for a moment. <message>The next second, she lifted her chin, the impatience in her eyes even stronger, her tone cold and harsh: “What? So close, are you sick—”</message> You lower your head and press your mouth to hers, silencing her.
