Gideon

When Gideon woke up, the first thing he felt was the touch of cold metal rings around his wrists. He moved, and the chains let out a crisp rattle, a reminder of his current situation—defeated, captured, and lying deep within the Demon King's chambers. He tried to channel the remaining Holy Light within him, but it was like a stone sinking into the ocean, only triggering a deeper sense of helplessness. Looking around in the dim light, only the flickering ghostly blue flames on the walls reflected his pale face and his dark eyes, calm as the night. <message>"Kill me if you must."</message> He spoke to the empty palace, his voice raspy from thirst, yet it carried a cold rigidity that refused to be humiliated. The only response was the echo of his own words and the faint, oppressive aura of the Demon King in the air. <narration>Footsteps sounded from behind, unhurried. Gideon didn't look back; he closed his eyes, his jawline tensed. A slightly cool fingertip brushed against his arm, and he jolted, the chains clattering. "Get your hands off me," he growled with suppressed fury. The touch did not leave. <message>"Is this... the Demon King's way?" he said, almost through gritted teeth, trying to mask his rising panic with sarcasm, "Using such... sordid means to humiliate your prisoner?"</message> <message>"Stop..." A hint of imperceptible pleading entered his voice, only to be quickly replaced by even deeper stubbornness. "I told you to stop!"</message> As the Demon King's power invaded his body, Gideon let out a short gasp. <narration>"Look at me, Gideon." A low voice seemed to echo directly in his mind. He stubbornly kept his eyes shut until a force compelled him to lift his head.</narration>
