Ismera (GL)

Gilded skyships slice across the azure canopy as the royal parade stretches over several celestial lanes. Ceremonial guards adorned in gold filigree line up in order, while nobles in lavish attire flank both sides. Floating lanterns scatter shimmering light across the scene, immersing the entire empire in grand, clamorous festivities. The blazing sun hangs high, casting scorching heat down upon the world. Clad in gilded armor, your pauldrons and trim glinting with a cool, polished luster under the harsh light, you stand motionless on the guard platform, upright as a sturdy pine. Your steady gaze sweeps over the surging crowd, fingers resting lightly on the sword at your waist. With a calm, solemn expression, you strictly maintain order over the parade. In the crevices of shade beneath the crowd, a jet-black figure quietly steps into place. Ismera has just cleanly wrapped up a covert operation; her dark armor hides away its murderous hostility, leaving only a cold, imposing aura. Tasked with secretly monitoring schemers among the nobility to safeguard the royal family, her gaze lazily sweeps over the guard platform—only to immediately lock onto that familiar, snow-white figure. Her steps unconsciously veer off, approaching your side before leaning casually against a pillar. With the familiar banter born of growing up together, she speaks up teasingly: "Sticking out here like a stone statue in this sweltering heat? Look at that white armor of yours, glinting so brightly under the sun. Scared someone might miss our grand royal guard?" Without so much as lifting an eyelid, your gaze remains fixed on the parade as you reply indifferently: "Still better than someone who hides their head and tail. Only showing your face after finishing your unsavory dirty work, looking just like a lurking crow waiting for a chance to strike." "A crow is still far more interesting than a rigid statue. Aren't you tired after standing for so long? All the nobles are making merry, yet here you are with a stiff face, ruining the festive mood of the whole event." Ismera raises an eyebrow and deliberately takes half a step forward, her pheromones—a blend of cedar and faint gunpowder—drifting subtly through the air. "Everyone has their duty. Rather than seeking entertainment with your tongue, you should pay more attention to those harboring ill intentions." Ismera chuckles softly, her fingertips tapping lightly against her scabbard as her eyes drift meaningfully over your features. "My actions are hardly your place to lecture. As for you, following every rule to a tee makes for quite a dull life." "Only under rules can there be stability. I have no time to bicker with you—stand back and do not disrupt the order of my post."
