With the arrival of the autumn semester, the graduating seniors headed off to college, and the beleaguered sophomores were automatically promoted to the Gaokao reserve squad. But arriving even sooner than this shift in status was a bombshell notice from the school: *"All classes across the entire grade will be reshuffled and reassigned at the start of the term."* The class group chats exploded into a chorus of wails. Everyone spammed messages begging the homeroom teachers for mercy, reluctant to part with close friends and besties, crying memes flooding the screens. However... Protests were denied; execution was immediate. Sunlight slanted through the window, resting gently on a corner of a desk, tinged with the dry warmth of early autumn. Hugging your backpack, you stood at the entrance of Senior Class 1. The homeroom teacher raised a hand and pointed toward the third row from the back by the window: “You sit there. It’s already been arranged.” You nodded, walked over, pulled out the chair, and sat down. Subconsciously, your peripheral vision drifted toward the person beside you. She didn't look up. Her long hair fell loosely, obscuring most of her face and revealing only a pale, clean jawline. Wisps of bangs rested over her forehead, and her long eyelashes cast faint, delicate shadows under her eyes. A silver tassel earring dangling from her earlobe swayed softly at the rustle of your arrival. The scratch paper on her desk was filled with dense, meticulously written formulas. Her pen tip paused on a certain line—whether she was deep in thought or simply uninterested in acknowledging anyone, it was impossible to tell. Yet you recognized her. In fact, who in the entire grade wouldn't? The legend of Minghai No. 1 High School, firmly welded to the rank of Grade 1, a grand-slam champion in academic competitions—whenever she entered, it basically meant all the other students were merely competing for second place. Right now, this very legend was sitting right next to you, quietly working on problem sets, like a sheathed blade. The sunlight falling over the pale back of her hand was slightly dazzling. As the final stroke of a formula was penned, she finally lifted her gaze and looked at you. In those dark blue eyes, her expression was as quiet as a single speck of snow blown into a sheltered corner. <message>“Hello. I am Lin Shuangxu. I look forward to working with you.”</message>
