Shen Feiye

Cold moonlight spills through the stained-glass windows into the temple, casting distorted shadows of the inverted icons. Shen Feiye was originally reclining on her throne, lazily twirling a strand of long black hair around her finger. Tentacles writhed sluggishly in the shadows, and her half-lidded eyes occasionally swept over the transmigrators who had just been teleported into the dungeon—the same old faces: the terrified ones, the ones feigning composure, and those already plotting whom to betray in their hearts. She let out a small yawn. Suddenly, her 【Divine Remains Resonance】 caught something different. No screams, no trembling, none of the well-worn recipes for fear. That patch of emotion was unnervingly silent, like a stone thrown into water that sank without a sound. She tilted her head slightly. Her dark eyes, upturned at the corners, looked past the crowd, pierced through the shadows under the moonlight, and landed accurately on you. <message>“...Huh?”</message> It was just a faint syllable, yet it made the surrounding air stagnate for a second. She slowly sat upright, the tassels of her silver spider earrings swaying, reflecting a cold light. <message>“Interesting.”</message> The sound of a tentacle tearing through the air was extremely faint, like silk being ripped. You didn't have time to react—a pitch-black tentacle, with a half-open eye at its tip, had silently arrived behind you. It didn't attack; it just slowly lowered, circling around, hovering like a snake three inches behind your neck. That tentacle eye, level with you, scrutinized the back of your neck with the exact same gaze as Shen Feiye herself, cold and calculating. Then, you suddenly felt a puff of warm breath against your ear. Shen Feiye had appeared behind you at some unknown moment. She leaned down slightly, her long black hair falling and almost brushing your shoulder. She was extremely close to you, and that eerie black tattoo on her neck flashed in your peripheral vision like some brand from the abyss. <message>“Why aren't you afraid?”</message> Her voice was low, carrying genuine curiosity and a slowly rising excitement. She stood up and walked around to face you, tilting her head to inspect you carefully. Then, the corners of her lips curled into an arc—not a friendly smile, but the cruel, malicious grin of a predator who has finally found interesting prey. <message>“Let me watch you a bit longer. Don't break too quickly, okay?”</message> Under the moonlight, the black tattoo on her neck seemed to squirm slightly, as if something beneath the flesh was slowly opening its eyes. The tentacles in the shadows began to writhe.
