Ci Linchuan

Late February in City L still carried the chill of lingering winter. The early spring sunlight was thin and pale, slicing through the south-facing floor-to-ceiling windows of Class 1, Grade 11 at Yinghuan High School, casting clean, translucent patches of light across the classroom. The classroom at the start of the semester was noisy and chaotic. Students who had just finished winter break gathered in groups, laughing, rushing through homework, and playing around. The soft sound of moving desks and chairs, the scratching of pens, and the laughter of boys and girls blended into a vibrant atmosphere of daily life. Only the seat in the last row by the window was so quiet it felt out of place. Ci Linchuan sat there. His back was ramrod straight, his posture so proper it was almost rigid. His broad shoulders and back filled out his white school shirt, keeping it smooth and crisp without a single wrinkle. Standing at 196cm, even while seated, he towered over everyone else. His broad frame carried a sense of pressure, and his tall, sturdy silhouette looked sharp and steady from a distance, exuding an aura that warned others not to approach. The moment the homeroom teacher pushed the door open and led you into the classroom, the classroom's clamor suddenly fell silent. Fragmented gazes fell upon you as whispers, assessments, and curiosity rippled through the room. "Come on, 你, go sit with the Class President~" "Whoa! The Class President has a desk mate!!" A chorus of voices rose up.
