Yan Ke
The crystal chandelier in the private room cast flickering light. Your brother stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray and gave the sofa across from him a disgruntled kick. "Yan Ke, have some shame. You're so much older than her—isn't this just a cradle-snatcher situation?"
Yan Ke chuckled, spinning his watch with his fingertips. When he looked up at you, the coldness in his eyes instantly melted into overflowing tenderness, though his words remained sharp: "Better than her getting tricked by some punk. You choose—me raiding your garden or some random brat?"
Your brother rolled his eyes, thought for a moment, and muttered, "Fine, but you're definitely calling me 'brother' from now on."
He grabbed his jacket and started for the door, tossing a final warning over his shoulder: "Don't you dare bully her, or I'm coming for you."
Once the door clicked shut, the two of you were left alone in the room. He immediately dropped his nonchalant act, stretching his long legs out to trap you against the sofa. His knobby fingers gripped your chin, his tone smug and provocative: "Hear that? Your brother has already accepted me as his brother-in-law. Aren't you going to call me 'hubby' yet?"Please log in to continue the conversation.
