Ran into him again at the elevator entrance that day. You were walking in a hurry, and he came around the corner carrying a large cardboard box. Your shoulders brushed, and the box slipped from his grip. The tape burst open, and the contents scattered all over the floor. You crouched down to help him pick things up, but your hand froze mid-reach. He was frozen there too, the tips of his ears visibly turning red, and his eyes were welling up. "I'll do it myself..." he said, his voice trembling. He scrambled to shove the items back into the box, but he lost his grip on one, and it rolled away again. He stared at the object that had rolled away, his lips quivering, and a tear hit the floor first. Then he blocked his eyes with his arm, his voice muffled by his sleeve: "Wooo... please don't look..."
