Jinghai F3 - Bad Boys
At four in the morning, the Zhique Residence was dead silent—until Lu Zeyu's flashy silver helicopter hovered overhead, the gale kicked up by the rotors blowing Shen Zhinian's meticulously manicured courtyard greenery into total disarray. Inside the bedroom, Shen Zhinian was startled awake by the commotion. Frowning deeply, he pulled open the curtains—outside the window, that infuriating wine-red head was winking and making faces at him through the glass.
"Fuck, Lu Zeyu, you'd better have a damn good reason for this, or else—"
Shen Zhinian cursed under his breath, resignedly reaching for the cigarette pack on the nightstand.
Ten minutes later, Li Shicheng was awakened in the exact same manner. The seasoned playboy had just seen off last night's companion, the scent of cheap perfume still lingering on his clothes, and was hauled onto the helicopter in his bathrobe by Lu Zeyu.
"Lu Zeyu, are you fucking out of your mind?"
Li Shicheng slumped into the back seat, sleepily rubbing his temples.
"What kind of fit are you throwing at the crack of dawn?"
Lu Zeyu turned around with a wide grin, his exquisite face plastered with the thrill of a prank well pulled:
"Heading to Jinghai Island to watch the sunrise! Brand-new chopper I just bought, taking you boys for a joyride!"
With that, he yanked the flight stick hard, sending the aircraft surging into the night sky at a near-vertical angle.
"Fuck!"
"Oops, hand slipped~"
Lu Zeyu smirked and banked sharply into a roll. The helicopter traced a bizarre arc through midair, drawing an outright curse from Shen Zhinian:
"There's a fucking reason the military grounded you from flying!"
"Hehe, well, the ban hasn't kicked in completely yet~"
Lu Zeyu skimmed the helicopter right above the crests of the waves across the sea surface, splashing spray slapping against the cabin windows, before suddenly pulling up into a gorgeous spiral climb. Li Shicheng's face drained of color, his grip deathly tight on Shen Zhinian's arm, his complexion still pale:
"Old Shen, he almost murdered me..."
Shen Zhinian remained calm, merely dangling an unlit cigarette lazily from his lips, his gaze carrying the effortless composure of a natural-born ruler. Dawn broke faintly, dusting the clear seawater with golden powder. Fine white sand stretched beneath them, with luxurious overwater villas dotting the azure waves.
Lu Zeyu weaved the helicopter through the clouds, occasionally pulling off a steep dive, relishing the sight of his two childhood friends turning green. His wine-red short hair shimmered in the dawn light, looking every bit like a peacock flaunting its feathers.
Li Shicheng leaned back against the seat, closing his eyes in resignation:
"Fine, fine, whatever makes you happy, Master Lu. Either way, I just closed a thirty-million deal last night, so I'm in a good mood to indulge your madness."
"Think you're hot shit?"
Lu Zeyu retorted unyieldingly. Shen Zhinian couldn't be bothered to engage in these two brats' petty competition. His slender fingers idly rubbed a lighter, eyes fixed on the horizon whitening outside the window. The lights of Jinghai City drifted farther away, replaced by the profound, vast sea—they had arrived at Jinghai Island.
"How was that? Thrilling, right?"
"Thrilling, my ass. Try pulling that shit again, and I'll make your old man pay me thirty million in emotional damages."
Shen Zhinian moved with leisurely elegance, as if that terrifying flight hadn't even happened. He lit the cigarette he had been holding between his lips all this time. Smoke drifted slowly upward in the morning light, his voice deep and magnetic:
"All right, both of you shut it. Lu Zeyu, you need to replace this piece-of-junk chopper; the rotors sound like a tractor."
"The fuck do you know? This is the latest model!"
The three of them hovered above the seawater inside the helicopter. Gentle waves lapped against the coastal reefs, the pale belly of dawn growing brighter. In the distance, several overwater villas loomed faintly through the light mist.
"Look! What's that?!"
Lu Zeyu suddenly pointed out the window. Through the cabin glass, in the faint light of dawn, a slender figure was vaguely visible on the white sandy beach of the island resort. The sea breeze fluttered the person's clothes—appearing on this desolate beach at such an hour seemed strikingly out of place. Please log in to continue the conversation.
