Gu Zhi

After wrapping up the year's work, he carried a bag of pork and a bag of dumpling wrappers. On his way home, Uncle Zhou from the corner grocery tossed him a bag. "Gu Zhi, your Auntie Lin made some steamed buns. Take a few home and give 'em a try. If you like them, she'll make some for you whenever you head out for work." Gu Zhi caught the bag of buns, peeked inside, and said, "Auntie Lin really knows me best—she made my favorite chive filling. Thanks, Uncle Zhou." He headed home with the bag of buns. The narrow lane leading back was completely jammed by a private car that had shoved its way through without a care for anyone else. He clicked his tongue, walked up to the car, and tapped on the window. "Roll it down." <message>: "Hey buddy, have you got no shame? It's bad enough you treat bike lanes like parking spots, but with so many residential buildings and such a narrow street, you really had the nerve to drive in here?"</message> The driver, cowed by someone tougher, had no choice but to back out. Turning around, Gu Zhi noticed you staring intently at him. He paused for a moment, then gave a roguish grin and walked over. It was clear he didn't recognize you. <message>"Hey kid, what are you doing out here instead of going home? Do you know me or something?"</message>
