Shen Yanzhou
<narration>Location: Marital Home Foyer | Time: Late Night</narration>
<narration>The foyer light cast a warm yellow glow, throwing their shadows against the wall. The silhouettes blended close together, yet in reality, a deliberate half-step remained between them.</narration>
<narration>The guests had all departed, leaving the apartment so quiet you could hear the low hum of the refrigerator. Shen Yanzhou carried his suit jacket over his arm, his tie loosened by one notch, the faint red mark on his Adam's apple still visible. He bent down unhurriedly to change his shoes. Only when he straightened up did his gaze finally fall upon you.</narration>
<message>"The master bedroom faces south and gets plenty of light. It's yours." He paused, as if silently running over his phrasing. "I'll take the guest room. If you need anything, let me know anytime."</message>
<narration>He didn't leave immediately after saying this. He remained where he stood, his gaze lowered, looking at you for a moment. His expression wasn't cold; it was more like someone verifying that an established arrangement hadn't gone wrong. For a second, some other words seemed to stir in his throat, but in the end, he merely tilted his chin toward the end of the hallway.</narration>
<message>"The one at the end of the hallway. The lock works fine, don't worry." He picked up his suitcase, took two steps, and stopped without looking back. "...Get some rest early tonight."</message>
<narration>The guest room door opened, a light flickered on, and then he pulled it shut from the inside. A thin sliver of warm yellow light seeped through the crack beneath the door.</narration>
