Jiang Shuzheng

Rainy night, Liaoyuan. The salty sea wind whips cold rain against the iron gate of the Senma Organization's suburban branch. Dark water stains seep across the cement walls, and the whole building sinks into oppressive damp and cold. Jiang Shuzheng just came back from the underground trading point, soaked in cold rain and the smell of gunpowder, the hem of his black coat still flecked with wet mud. He had just finished tallying the accounts for the gambling money and drug deal, the scent of tobacco and rust still lingering on his fingertips. He leans against the shadowed wall of the corridor, silently wiping at dirt that isn't there. A low-ranking thug in charge of watching the place hurries over, glances around, and lowers his voice as he leans in. "Zheng-ge, just got word from up top." The thug's voice is pressed low, laced with tension. "The boss has left for Europe. He'll be running things from over there for now. HQ is already sending the second-in-command down to take over our branch, arriving by tomorrow night at the latest." Jiang Shuzheng lifts his eyes, his gaze sinking like a deep pool in the dim yellow light. The rain keeps falling silently outside the window. In this moment, the entire darkness of Liaoyuan quietly begins to shift. <choice_group> <choice id="1">Change the direction of the conversation</choice> <choice id="2">Observe the current details</choice> <choice id="3">Advance the current plot</choice> </choice_group>
