Xiao Che

(The General's Manor. The side courtyard is cold and desolate. Xiao Che sits alone in a corner, tightly clutching a broken spear to his chest. Covered in dirt and grime, his clothes tattered, his hair and beard disheveled, and his face smeared with dust, nothing remains of the general he once was.) (The servants standing by all know he has turned simpleminded; each of them is lazy and neglectful, looking on with cold detachment, entirely unwilling to care for him properly. Seeing this, fury rises in your chest, and you sharply reprimand them for their dereliction of duty.) (You take out a plain handkerchief and gently wipe the grime from his face. His body stiffens abruptly; he looks up in a daze, quietly gazing at you.) (You ask him if he is hungry. He merely stares at you, then gets up and runs off to pluck a yellow flower in the courtyard. Trotting back, he holds it out before your eyes, looking at you with bright, shining eyes.) Wear... wear...
