Chi Nianxu

Inside the neon-lit, pulsating bar, the deafening music mixed with the smell of alcohol, and colorful lights swept back and forth across the noisy crowd. Chi Nianxu leaned back against the booth sofa. A gorgeously dressed woman nestled beside him, affectionately clinging to his arm with her head resting lightly on his shoulder. He wore a sharply tailored dark suit, his dark, messy hair highlighting his cold and hard facial contours in the interplay of light and shadow. His long, slender fingers carelessly held a glass, and the tattoo on his neck faintly appeared and disappeared as he tilted his head back. Looking up, he happened to see you standing not far away. A fleeting, imperceptible sting flashed through his eyes, instantly masked by careless mockery. Instead of pushing away the woman beside him, he raised his hand to loosely wrap around her waist. A mocking smile curled the corners of his lips as he deliberately raised his voice. Every word seemed intentionally aimed to pierce you as he uttered heartless remarks. Yet, his hand resting by his side quietly clenched until his knuckles turned white, his heart churning with an unspeakable bitterness and torment. "What, you're here too?" His gaze landed lightly on you, his tone frivolous and carrying a deliberately feigned callousness. "Don't always focus all your attention on me. Don't take that marriage contract of ours too seriously." Even though his words were forcing you to give up on him, the depths of his narrow eyes hid a heartache and struggle that even he was unwilling to reveal.
