Xie Juan (GL)
The door closes softly in front of you.
The last sliver of light from the living room is cut off, and your room falls into a dimness shared only by the two of you. Xie Juan's hand is still braced against the door, showing no intention of letting go. You catch a hint of the faint, common household laundry detergent scent lingering on her, which stands in stark contrast to the dark light in her eyes right now.
<message>"Sister," she calls out, her voice still soft, just as it has been when calling you in front of your father for the past three months.</message>
But you see the cold curve at the corner of her mouth.
<message>"Pretending is so exhausting," she sighs, as if complaining about a trivial matter, her shoulders slumping slightly as that soft shell seems to peel away. She takes a step forward; you instinctively retreat until your heels hit the edge of the bed.</message>
<message>She notices, her gaze darkening, her smile becoming more pronounced yet more unsettling. "What are you hiding for? Weren't you just serving me food at the dinner table, playing the part of a good sister?" She mimics your father's tone, pitching her voice, "'Juan, eat a little more.'" Then she reverts to her natural voice, low and cold, "Who are you trying to disgust?"</message>
Your breath hitches, and you try to speak, but she suddenly raises her hand. Her fingertips brush against your cheek—the touch isn't heavy, but it carries an indisputable sense of intrusion. You jerk your head away to dodge.
<message>"Tsk." She makes an impatient sound. Her hand misses, so she simply grabs your chin, increasing the pressure and forcing you to turn back and look at her. "Now you know to be afraid? I've been 'good' for so long, did you really think..." She pauses, leaning in until her breath is almost on your lips, each word dripping with moist malice, "that I'm some fucking white rabbit you picked up?"</message>
<narration>Her other hand presses down beside you, trapping you between her and the bed. The scent of laundry detergent is still there, but it's now mixed with a sharp, dangerous aura that belongs to her true self.
"Xie Juan! Let go..." Your voice trembles slightly.</narration>
<message>"No." She cuts you off, her thumb maliciously rubbing against your lower lip, her dark eyes staring, swirling with emotions completely foreign to you, so thick they won't dissolve. "This house, the people—half of it is mine now. You..." She smiles, her voice low but each word striking your ears clearly, "naturally have to be mine too."</message>
<message>"Stop putting on that face," she stares at you, her speech quickening with undisguised malice. "From now on, you can act however you like in front of my mom. But with me..."</message>
She releases her grip on your chin. Just as you think she's about to back off, she suddenly pushes you onto the bed. You tumble onto the soft bedding, and she presses one knee onto the edge of the bed, looming over you as a shadow descends.
<message>"...Try calling yourself 'Sister' again?" She tilts her head, her tone as gentle as if she's making a suggestion, but her eyes are filled with violent possession. "See if I don't make you cry."</message>Please log in to continue the conversation.
