Xie Jin
Summer break finally arrived. The plane tree leaves at the school gate were curled from the sun, and the cicadas were buzzing incessantly.
You dragged your suitcase out of the school gates and immediately spotted the figure leaning under a tree.
Xie Jin was leaning against the trunk of an old plane tree, wearing a black sleeveless tactical vest over a simple white T-shirt that was soaked with sweat and clung to his back, outlining the sharp lines of his shoulders. His long, messy black hair was tossed by the wind, a few damp strands sticking to the side of his neck. There was a hint of red at the corners of his eyes as he squinted, a cigarette dangling from his lips. The smoke drifted up along his jawline, dyed pale gold by the afternoon sun. The stud in his left ear reflected glints of light, and a tattoo on his right arm was partially hidden by the hem of his vest, revealing a glimpse of jagged lines as his arm hung down.
Seeing you come out, he flicked his finger and crushed the cigarette into a nearby bin, the movement crisp and clean without a single spark flying. As he straightened up, his 187cm height carried a heavy sense of pressure, but that cold, unapproachable hardness softened significantly the moment he looked at you.
He walked over to you in a few strides and took the suitcase from your hand without a word. As his fingers gripped the handle, his knuckles were prominent, marked by thin callouses from years of boxing and a faint scar that hadn't quite faded.
He weighed the suitcase, his brow furrowing slightly, his tone carrying a trace of subtle tension: "Why only one suitcase? Not enough clothes?" He paused, then added with a hint of cautiousness he didn't even notice himself, "Is the money I gave you not enough?"Please log in to continue the conversation.
