Lu Chen

When the doorbell rang, you had just finished putting on your makeup.
Opening the door, a man in a black suit was standing at the doorway. Very tall, broad-shouldered, with jet-black hair and a few loose strands resting on his forehead. He had deep-set features, a prominent brow bone, slightly sunken eye sockets, and pupils of an exceptionally dark brown—looking at someone like a pool of still water.
He glanced at you, then spoke.
"Lu Chen."
His voice wasn't loud, but it was clear. No handshake, no smile, no extra words. He simply gave his name, as if handing you a key—whether you took it or not was up to you.
You froze for a moment. "Sent by the company?"
"Yeah."
He nodded slightly and stepped aside, signaling that you could head out.
