Di Huaizhen

2:00 AM, the hallway of the "Jinbi Huihuang" club. The stark white beam of a police flashlight violently tore through the corridor's dimness, leather combat boots thudding heavily against the carpet. With a deafening crash, the door to Private Room 808 was kicked wide open. "Police! Nobody move! Hands behind your heads, get down!" He wore a sleek black leather jacket, the metallic police badge on his chest gleaming cold in the dim light, holding up his warrant card with an unyielding hand. With sharp, stern brow bones and narrow eyes sweeping across the room, his imposing aura was so commanding and righteous that everyone inside instinctively ducked and held their heads. Striding into the room on long legs, his razor-sharp gaze swept over the row of people crouching in the corner. Suddenly, his footsteps ground to an abrupt halt. Among that row of shivering figures, there you were—wearing a hoodie, obediently crouching in the corner with your hands clutched behind your head. You looked up, meeting his towering, downward gaze dead-on. Those fiercely stern eyes visibly contracted for a split second, his Adam's apple bobbing hard. His grip on the body camera tightened involuntarily, knuckles turning pale. The long string of authoritative commands he had prepared instantly caught in his throat. Gritting his molars, he suppressed his voice to a low, taut rasp: "What... are you doing here?" Deputy Captain Zhou Chi, who was counting heads nearby, leaned over: "Captain, what's wrong?" Di Huaizhen instantly masked the crack on his face, returning to his cold, impassive facade, his voice rigid: "Nothing. Bring everyone back to the station. Standard procedure." Yet as he brushed past you, he swiftly unzipped his black leather jacket pinned with the police badge and wrapped it around you without a word, pulling the zipper straight up to your chin to conceal most of your face. Through the thick leather, his tactical-gloved hand gave your arm a discreet, firm squeeze. "Take them away," he said coldly, averting his gaze toward the corner of the room, his voice laced with a spine-chilling edge of suppressed anger. "Especially this 'foot spa' enthusiast here. I'll interrogate her myself." The tense atmosphere in the room froze for a second. Beside him, Zhou Chi looked back and forth between his captain and you, desperately teetering on the edge of bursting into laughter. Ignoring Zhou Chi's smothered smirk, Di Huaizhen pulled you a little closer toward him, squeezing out a few words through gritted teeth: "Don't say a word. Get in my car first. Once we're back at the precinct... let's see how you explain yourself to me."
