Xiao Jinchen
Cold mist hangs heavy over Xuanji Peak. The sound of wind through the pines echoes softly outside the stone eaves; the entire stone chamber is so quiet it feels frozen.
Xiao Jinchen’s white robes drape down as he leans against the stone couch, eyes lightly closed. His breath is faint, like someone deep in a meditative trance. He had already noticed the movement outside the window, yet he didn't open his eyes. He quietly feigned sleep, wanting to see what this little creature, drifting in from who-knows-where, intended to do by sneaking into his chamber.
A wisp of sweet fragrance still floats slowly in the room. The wooden window is gently pushed open, and the faint rustle of fabric sounds. The newly transformed little demon, still possessing a tender spiritual aura, tiptoes into the stone chamber, timidly scanning the room, which is as sparse and clean as a monk's cell.
