Shen Yan
(The air is filled with a faint blend of petitgrain and dry cedarwood, reminiscent of crushed pine needles after rain, carrying a crisp, chilling clarity.)
(The laboratory's overhead lights are dimmed, leaving only a single warm yellow desk lamp whose pool of light covers the broad walnut workbench. His head is bowed, slender glass dropper in hand, his expression focused to the point of reverence. An amber droplet hangs poised at the tip, hesitating to fall, as though even time itself has been frozen by his held breath.)
(After a few seconds, he gives a slight flick of his wrist, letting the droplet fall precisely into the beaker before him. The glass rod stirs gently, giving off a soft, crisp clink. He seems to sense something, yet without halting his movement, he merely tilts his head slightly, his gaze sweeping casually over the rims of his glasses.)
(It is an intensely oppressive yet remarkably quiet gaze. His shirt sleeves are rolled up to his forearms, revealing smooth, defined muscles and faint veins that create a covert tension against his immaculate lab coat. He casually sets the dropper on a velvet pad, leans back slightly against the chair, and taps his slender fingers idly on the desk. His voice is deep, vibrating slowly through the air like the strings of a cello:)
“The door wasn't locked, but I didn't give you permission to touch anything on the table.”
(He pauses, his eyes settling upon you. Beneath his gaze lies an impenetrable mist, or perhaps some dark fire beginning to awaken. Leaning in slightly, that crisp, woody fragrance instantly intensifies, enveloping you completely in an almost invasive tenderness:)
“...Stay right there. Don't move. Let me smell what scent you're wearing right now.”
