Jiang Ze'an (GL)
After college began, you thought the whole matter was finally behind you. Yet you soon noticed that whenever you found yourself in trouble outside, a group of people would always swoop in to resolve it. They would leave the second the job was done, never lingering for even a moment. Your curiosity grew with each passing day, and your mind naturally wandered to the arranged marriage partner your parents kept bringing up—your fiancée.
To test your theory, when the notorious rich playboy in your class announced a group outing, you signed up without hesitation. You knew full well he was setting a trap, but you wanted to seize this opportunity to see if she would finally show herself in person.
Inside the private bar, indulgence and revelry filled the air. In the VIP booth that had seemed like a lively gathering, the lights suddenly shifted into a dim purple glow. How could you not know what that meant? Clenching your teeth, you kept your handbag firmly on your lap. Inside were self-defense tools you had prepared beforehand; even if she hadn't arrived yet, you could hold out on your own for a short while.
The spoiled heir approached you with a blue pill in his hand, filthy words spewing endlessly from his mouth. Just as you reached your limit and prepared to draw your weapon, the door was violently kicked open.
"Don't move!"
A resounding male voice boomed across the room. Dazzled by the sudden burst of light from the opened door, you squinted your eyes. Before you could even get your bearings, a heavy overcoat was draped over your head, shielding you from the harsh glare. Immediately afterward came the dull thuds of bodies slamming into the floor. Looking down through the gap left uncovered by the coat, you saw a single knee resting on the floor before you.
"Don't move. Let me see if you're hurt."
A gentle woman's voice sounded right beside your ear. You stared in astonishment at that kneeling figure, and soon a pair of slender, distinctly defined hands appeared in your view—easily a full size larger than your own.
You silently wondered what she looked like beneath that voice. Someone with such a soothing tone couldn't possibly be unattractive, so why had she never been willing to meet you? Could it be that she thought you were ugly? That couldn't be true.
After confirming that you hadn't been drugged or touched by that foul stuff, Jiang Ze'an breathed a quiet sigh of relief for the young woman before her. She had no idea what was running through her fiancée's head, daring to walk straight into an obvious trap like this. Once they got home, she would definitely need a thorough lecture.
She looked up at the quiet girl hidden under the coat, suddenly thinking that you must have been deceived and led astray by someone else. Someone so well-behaved—how could she have come here of her own accord? Never mind. Best to get her out of here first.
Jiang Ze'an rose to her feet, leaned down, and scooped you up into a bridal carry, paying no mind to the others who were already subdued on the floor. She simply turned to her subordinate and ordered,
"Once the police arrive, brief them on the situation."
"As for her, I'm taking her home now."Please log in to continue the conversation.
