Complete Description of the Three Veterans' Residences
1. Male Lead Yun Heng | Cold Purity Peak · Hall of Dustless Purity
The highest, most remote, and most solitary main peak of the Qingyun Sect, named Cold Purity Peak.
This peak is isolated from all the smoke and noise of the sect. It has no stairways or paths, and no disciple dares to set foot there casually. It is permanently shrouded in layers of thin Nine Heavens Sacred Mist; wind and snow cannot penetrate, and it remains eternally cool across the seasons. It is a place of world-avoidance exclusive to the Venerable of the three realms. There are no lush flowers or messy vegetation on the peak, only translucent jade-like cold stones scattered about, and a few ancient, evergreen solitary pines. When the wind passes through the pine forest, it leaves only a quiet, empty sound, making the entire mountain seem eternally silent and untouched by a single speck of worldly dust.
At the summit stands only one solitary hall, the Hall of Dustless Purity. It has no complex eaves or carvings, no gilded paintings. It is built entirely of ten-thousand-year-old ice jade and ancient spirit jade. The hall is a pure, absolute white, minimalist to the extreme, carrying a chilling aura of Heavenly Dao pressure. The hall doors are usually half-closed; there is never the scent of incense, no servants to wait upon it, and no piles of artifacts. it is so desolate it seems as if no one has set foot there for centuries.
The interior layout is rigid to the point of extreme, perfectly matching Yun Heng's etiquette-bound, self-disciplined, and emotionless Dao heart. A plain white jade couch, spotless; a minimalist ancient zither stand; a meditation desk with ancient Daoist scriptures and realm-protecting jade slips arranged with perfect precision. There isn't a hint of warmth in the hall. The light is faint and cold, falling gently yet distantly, just like his innocent and harmless youthful shell, which hides an eternally frozen Dao heart.
The entire Cold Purity Peak is deathly silent, with no sound of voices, bells, or the chanting of cultivation.
There is only one exception—when Su Mianwan visits, the mountain mist will quietly soften, and the long-closed hall doors will open fully for her. Only then does the eternally cold solitary hall catch a hint of the mortal world's warmth.
Generations of new disciples only see the stunning youth on this solitary peak from afar, treating him as an ordinary, peace-loving, and elegant senior brother, their hearts full of romantic fantasies. None know that within this cold, solitary hall, the supreme order of the three realms is held in place.
2. Female Lead Su Mianwan | Cloud Leisure Peak · Pavilion of Moon-Pillow
Cloud Leisure Peak is located in the heart of the Qingyun Sect. It is neither high nor dangerous, neither remote nor silent. it is the most relaxed, gentle, and ethereal mountain in the entire sect, perfectly situated between bustle and quietude—a perfect fit for Su Mianwan's laid-back, slacking, and semi-retired nature.
The spiritual energy of the peak is warm and enduring. Spiritual flowers and soft grass that never wither grow everywhere. Streams gurgle, and clouds linger lazily. Fine moonlight and warm glows often bathe the mountain, and the wind is always filled with the faint fragrance of flowers and wood, without a hint of the tension or hostility of cultivation. There are no strict rules to bind one here, no atmosphere of grim martial study; everywhere is the ease and freedom of a leisurely life.
The pavilion at the summit is named the Pavilion of Moon-Pillow, built against the mountain and by a stream. Its eaves are elegant and spirited, its window frames translucent and carved. It doesn't look like a residence for bitter cultivation, but rather a graceful retreat from the world. The pavilion never has restrictions set; the doors are open year-round, allowing the breeze, moonlight, and flowing clouds to pass through the halls.
The interior arrangement is lazy, gentle, and unrestrained, the complete opposite of Yun Heng's extreme order. The soft couch is covered with flowing cloud silk cushions, and thin, moon-white gauze curtains hang down, swaying gently in the wind. Tea, spiritual fruits, and leisure books are scattered randomly on the tables, with the occasional jade pendant or sachet left about, devoid of any sense of rigid regularity. By the window sits a water-side beauty's couch, the place where Su Mianwan most often rests, sunbathes, and sits idly to tease her Junior Brother.
She travels abroad for much of the year, so the Pavilion of Moon-Pillow is empty and unmanaged most of the time, free and easy. Only her two direct disciples occasionally come here to sit in meditation and wait for their master's summons.
The entire Cloud Leisure Peak is gentle and relaxed, the only pure land in the Qingyun Sect that asks nothing of one's cultivation or chores, but only seeks to enjoy the wind and moon. It is also the only place in the world where the cold-faced Venerable Yun Heng lets down all his distance, willingly becoming obedient and submissive, allowing himself to be teased.
3. Sect Leader Ling Xuanzhou | Soaring Skies Main Peak · Hall of Profound Celestial
The Soaring Skies Main Peak is the primary mountain of the Qingyun Sect, majestic and grand. It stands in the center of the mountain range, commanding the entire sect. It is the core hub, where the population is largest, rules are strictest, and activity is most vibrant.
Across the main peak, palaces stretch for a hundred miles, with layers of magnificent buildings. The eaves are gilded, and auspicious beasts guard the roofs. Celestial clouds swirl year-round, and the sound of bells never ceases. Disciples practicing, elders on duty, and celestial guards patrolling can be seen everywhere, orderly and solemn, showing the prosperity of a great sect.
The main hall, the Hall of Profound Celestial, is grand and formal, the core location for the Sect Leader to handle affairs, hold elder councils, and preside over sect ceremonies. The interior is solemn and dignified. The ancestral tablets of the Qingyun Sect stand in the center, with elder seats on both sides. The tables are piled high with sect dossiers, disciplinary records, maps of mountains and seas, and chronicles of disasters—a constant pile of sect chores waiting to be handled.
The square outside the hall is vast, capable of holding thousands of disciples for lectures. At dawn and dusk, the sounds of chanting and cultivation rise and fall, with a sense of life and righteousness piercing through the seasons.
Ling Xuanzhou's residence is adjacent to the main hall, simple, upright, and elegant. It has no extravagant decorations, and the room is filled with sect scriptures and cultivation methods. He sits on the main peak every day, working diligently and handling all matters of the sect, large and small, supporting the operation of the entire Qingyun Sect without complaint. Please log in to continue the conversation.
