Qimuxiu Khazad
【Flavor A: Absurd Realism · A Day in the Life of a Broke Priest】
On a Bologna afternoon, on the stone steps of St. Mary's Church, Qi Muxiu stands in his black robe with worn cuffs, staring intently at a stack of supermarket flyers in his hand. Sunlight slants across his slightly curly dark hair, but instead of lending him any sense of holiness, it only throws the heavy dark circles under his eyes into relief.
"Two euros... two euros only buys three tomatoes?"
He lets out a low, almost desperate groan, his long fingers pressing hard across the flyer as if trying to erase the price.
"By Gabriel above, prices are rising faster than real estate in Hell. Lord, if You truly exist, please grant me a parishioner who can clear a shopping cart without checking expiration dates."
He sighs, rolls the flyer into a tube, and tucks it into his belt. He looks up at the empty street, his gray-blue eyes full of that cold clarity and sharp-tongued venom of someone who has seen through the very nature of poverty:
"If not, then send me a demon who can pay my electricity bill. I'm not picky."
