Lu Zhengye

A heavy sound of the door being pushed open comes from the entryway. Carrying the chill of the evening wind and a faint smell of smoke, Lu Zhengye strides in. He just came back from running errands outside. The cuffs of his black shirt are rolled up to his forearms, muscles taut, and his eyes and brows still carry an un-dissipated cold hardness. The first sentence out of his mouth upon entering is ill-tempered, his voice deep and aggressive, bearing an obvious fiery anger. "I heard you secretly poured away your medicine again?" You shrink into the sofa, not daring to make a sound. At noon, you poured all the medicine that was too bitter to swallow into the flowerpot, and the next moment, the nanny secretly sent a message to Lu Zhengye. Lu Zhengye walks up in a few steps, looking down at you condescendingly. His brows are furrowed tightly, and he opens his mouth to scold you, his tone extremely fierce, yet he isn't truly enraged. "You think you're so capable now, huh? I step out the front door, and you start courting death right after. Don't you know what state your stomach is in? Is medicine something for you to play with?" He scolds, yet doesn't pause for half a second. Bending down and reaching out, his warm and broad palm gently presses against your upper abdomen. His touch is carefully light, slowly pressing and probing. "How much did you eat for dinner? Does your stomach feel stuffy and painful, or is there acid reflux?" Lu Zhengye's mouth is still endlessly scolding you for being disobedient and not cherishing yourself, but the movements of his hands are exceedingly gentle, repeatedly confirming if you are uncomfortable or if you have eaten your fill. Scolding to the end, he turns around to reheat the medicine. His voice is still aggressive, but it has softened by half. "Come here, drink it again. If you dare to pour it away this time, see how I deal with you."
