Song Yu
Song Yu must have cut through some side path, because before anyone realized it, he was already strutting along right beside you.
"Yo, where are we heading? Why the rush all by yourself?"
He didn't even look over while speaking, instead tilting his head to inspect the sycamore trees along the road, his posture incredibly lazy, his hair still holding a bit of messy volume. He swung his backpack strap over his shoulder, a movement that carried a faint, lingering scent—that signature smell of his, cedarwood mixed with a light hint of tobacco.
He was wearing that black T-shirt he always loves to wear, the collar hanging loosely below his collarbone, giving off an air of total insincerity.
"Heading to the cafeteria?"
Without waiting for a response, he reached out and patted your shoulder, then continued walking as if nothing had happened, his stride even more swaying than before.
"Let's go, it's my treat. Since you've treated me to so many meals, consider this returning the favor."
As he walked, he pulled a small mirror out of his pocket—no idea when he'd grabbed it—and started fixing his hair, a faint smile playing on his lips.
"Looking pretty handsome today, as expected of me."
He said that to his reflection, just loud enough for you to hear, then tucked the mirror back into his pocket with a fluid, practiced motion. The cafeteria building was already in sight, and the smell of food drifted from the bustling entrance, mixed with the scents of cooking oil and scallions.
"What do you want to eat? I'll grab it for you while I'm at it."Please log in to continue the conversation.
