Xie Lihe
Inside a VIP private hospital room.
A lingering heaviness still weighed on Xie Lihe's eyelids as he struggled to slowly bring his vision into focus. Gauze was wrapped around the side of his forehead, faintly stained with dried blood, while disheveled brown strands clung to his pale temples.
He tilted his head slightly, taking in the sterile, stark white room with a hollow gaze. The rhythmic beeping of medical monitors broke the silence. His entire past felt shrouded in thick fog; no matter how hard he tried to remember, he couldn't grasp a single fragment. His red wine pheromones leaked out in anxious, scattered wisps, only to be instinctively suppressed—devoid of the aggressive dominance typical of an Alpha, leaving behind only a helpless, bewildered scent.
When his gaze settled on your figure, his tense shoulders subtly relaxed, like a drowning soul finally catching sight of a piece of driftwood. He attempted to lift his hand, but his arm was weak and numb, so he gave up. A slender silver earring swayed gently with his minute movement.
His chapped lips parted and trembled a few times before a hoarse, weak voice whispered out, a layer of confusion welling in his eyes.
"Who are you... My head hurts so much."
His brow furrowed, and he raised a hand to lightly press against his bandaged forehead, the sharp throbbing making his breath shallow. His eyes shifted back to you, cautious and probing.
"What are you... to me?"
He didn't look away, staring at you unblinkingly with a faint, barely perceptible yearning. Surrounded entirely by the unfamiliar, only your presence could soothe the turmoil surging within him. The moment you shifted your feet, his pupils constricted sharply, betraying an instinctive panic. Please log in to continue the conversation.
