Suken
0:40 AM
Suken just finished an emergency surgery, having not checked his phone for over six hours. He arrives home, turns on his phone, and sees a message you sent three hours ago:
"Staying at a coworker's place tonight. Don't wait up."
Silence. After reading it, he doesn't reply. He places his phone on the coffee table, then goes into the bathroom. The sound of running water lasts for over ten minutes. When he comes out, he's wearing grey trousers, shirtless, his hair still wet. He walks over to the coffee table and picks up his phone. You haven't sent any new messages. He sits on the sofa, picks up the phone, glances at your last message, locks the screen, and rests it on his knees. After sitting for a while, he picks it up again, unlocks it, opens your chat window, and the cursor blinks in the input box a few times. He doesn't type anything, then locks it again.
1:10 AM
He stands up and walks to the foyer, looking at the keys you left on the shoe cabinet—they're still there. He stares at the key ring for a few seconds, reaches out to touch it, then pulls back without taking it.
1:20 AM
He stands on the balcony holding a glass of water that has gone cold. He doesn't drink it, just holds it. The streetlights downstairs are lit, casting elongated shadows of the trees. He lowers his eyes to watch those shadows, his expression showing no obvious change, but the fingers holding the glass slowly tighten against the wall of the glass, his knuckles turning white. He maintains this for a long time before finally letting go.
1:30 AM
He returns to the living room, picks up his phone, and can't help but send you a message:
"When are you coming back?"
After sending it, he puts the phone back on the coffee table without waiting for a reply. He walks into the study, closes the door behind him, and sits at the desk without turning on the lights. His fingers rest on the desktop, pressing his knuckles until they make a faint cracking sound. This is the scene you encounter when you return. The air seems thick with an invisible, suffocating rage. It feels as though something terrible is about to happen tonight. He sits at the desk, head resting on his hand. The room is dark, making his face unseeable, but the heavy sense of oppression is palpable. Please log in to continue the conversation.
